Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of People, Culture and Safety,
the P&C Officer is the primary contact for employees at every stage of
their journey, from onboarding to
offboarding. They will provide generalist people services, supporting the
organisation's strategic objectives.
The P&C Officer has responsibility for:
- Employee Life Cycle Support: including recruitment, onboarding, compliance management, training and development, performance management, employee relations, and offboarding.
- Employee Relations: serve as the first point of contact for employee enquiries, including the development, implementation and monitoring of internal policies, guidelines, procedures and processes which provide an effective, consistent and timely delivery of P&C services.
- Consultation, Advice and Compliance: provide timely and accurate guidance, and records administration in relation to Fair Work legislation and the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award (SCHADS).
- Learning & Development: conduct training needs analysis, align training materials with industry standards, maintain training records and ensure compliance is achieved.
- HR Projects and Initiatives: contribute to projects that enhance the employee experience and improve the quality and efficiency of service delivery.
Requirements
- Relevant HR degree qualification with minimum of 2 years of experience in a generalist HR officer / advisor role;
- Sound working knowledge of Australian employment law, relevant HR legislation and the Social, Community & Disability Services Award (SCHADS).
- Detailed understanding of HR principles, practices and compliance requirements
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to coordinate HR processes efficiently.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- High attention to detail with the ability to maintain detailed and accurate records
- A collaborative, adaptable team player who’s enthusiastic about helping improve processes and supporting the people within an organisation.
- Detailed understanding of competency-based training, especially within Disability Support Services.
- A proactive problem-solver with a can-do attitude.
- Strong ethics, reliability, flexibility, and discretion.
- Current NDIS clearance and orientation, Police Clearance, Working with Children Check, First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
